Chairman’s Update September 2023

This year we are celebrating the Clubs 20th Anniversary. We all enjoyed a great evening with
Harold Lawrence (founder and President), several trustees, committee members, volunteers
and most importantly the players, at a party held at Hastings United social club.
We also hosted a successful presentation event in June, where the players were rewarded
for their great efforts throughout the season.

In July we competed in only our 2nd 11-aside game verses Hollington FC in a charity event
where our Juniors also played a full sided game against a Hollington Youth Team.
We have now commenced our football sessions with good numbers on the opening two
sessions and I look forward to seeing everyone again on Saturday 30th Sept.
A reminder of times for Adults is 9.30-11.00 am, with Juniors from 10.00-11.00 am. The
venue being the 3G Astro turf at Bexhill College, Penland Road, Bexhill TN40 2JG. All
training session dates will be available on our website.

We currently have a dedicated team of qualified coaches and volunteers, but would
welcome new coaches and volunteers with open arms, so we can continue the Clubs
development.

Our emphasis is always on Fun and Enjoyment and in this environment, players will also
improve their football ability and form great friendships.

We have not planned to compete in the Sussex FA Tournaments this season but again will
continue to invite local teams/clubs to play friendly fixtures across all levels and ages.

We had some great games with the Bexhill Walking Football Community, Hollington Youth
Teams and Hastings Utd last season and will continue to invite local clubs for action packed
matches.

As ever we welcome all suggestions, ideas and views and please feel free to talk to me or
committee members to discuss them.
